Baseball Recap: Tate's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Tate won the last time they faced Navarre and things went their way on Friday too. The Aggies walked away with a 5-1 win over the Raiders. The victory was some much needed relief for the Aggies as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Tate got a great performance from Keelan Beasley as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Beasley has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Taite Davis was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Cal Foxworth was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Tate's record now sits at 13-9. As for Navarre, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Tate and Navarre could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Aggies will take on Sayre at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (117 vs. 5). Meanwhile, Navarre (ranked 335th) will meet Pace (ranked 22nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
