Recap: Princeton Tigers vs. Worth County Tigers

It was a good run, but the Princeton Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Worth County. Princeton has not had much luck with Worth County recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Leading Worth County to victory were Caleb New and Tyler New. New scored 17 points, while New dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. New is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Cole Ruby was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

Princeton's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-2. As for Worth County, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Princeton will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against St. Joseph Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. St. Joseph Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Princeton likes a good challenge. As for Worth County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against North Harrison at 7:30 p.m. North Harrison will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 404th, while Worth County is ranked 147th).
