Softball Recap: Plaquemine Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Plaquemine's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Brusly Panthers on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Green Devils in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Plaquemine now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Brusly, they pushed their record up to 22-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Plaquemine will square off against East St. John at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.39 runs per game on average), something the Green Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Brusly, they have already played their next match, a 7-1 win against Zachary on the 4th.
