On Saturday, everything came up roses for Summit Academy North against Lincoln-King Academy as the team secured a 70-30 victory. The win continues a trend for Summit Academy North in their matchups with Lincoln-King Academy: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, University Prep entered their tilt with Edison Academy on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 61-52 victory over the Pioneers. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Pioneers are ranked 385th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Summit Academy North pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points over those games. As for University Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.
