Recap: Ramsey Rams vs. Father McGivney Catholic Griffins
The Ramsey Rams pushed their score all the way to 68 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 79-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of Father McGivney Catholic. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ramsey in their matchups with Father McGivney Catholic: they've now lost eight in a row.
Father McGivney Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Jansen, who scored 27 points. That's the first time this season that Jansen scored 15 or more points. Nolan Keller was another key contributor, scoring 26 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Ramsey's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Father McGivney Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Ramsey and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City will round out the year against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at. Hopefully Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday. Father McGivney Catholic is on the road again on Thursday and play against Marissa/Coulterville at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st.
