Richmond City School of the Arts extends home losing streak to eight

This season hasn't been kind to the Richmond City School of the Arts Bulldogs, who are still winless after their 13th matchup. They took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thomas Jefferson on Monday. Richmond City School of the Arts was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Thomas Jefferson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Cameron Sampson was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points for Thomas Jefferson. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sampson has scored all season. Zaymon Harris was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Richmond City School of the Arts bumped their record down to 0-13 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Thomas Jefferson, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9.

Richmond City School of the Arts will be playing at home against Huguenot at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Huguenot focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Friday. Thomas Jefferson won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Glen Allen at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Glen Allen presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Thomas Jefferson in Virginia (Glen Allen is ranked 113th, while Thomas Jefferson is ranked 271st).
