Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saint James). Their defense stepped up to hand the Booker T. Washington Golden Eagles a 10-0 shutout on Friday. Atticus Clements was a massive factor in the win as he booted in four goals all by himself.

The win made it two in a row for Saint James and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Booker T. Washington, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saint James will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Trinity Presbyterian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Booker T. Washington, they will face off against Tallassee at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
