Campo Verde is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Chaparral: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Campo Verde blew Chaparral out of the water with a 66-25 final score. The victory continues a trend for the Coyotes in their matchups with the Firebirds: they've now won four in a row.

Campo Verde's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bailey Barnes led the charge by putting up 12 points. Barnes is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Kelsey Watts was another key player, posting seven points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Campo Verde was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chaparral only racked up six assists.
Meanwhile, Williams Field entered their tilt with Higley on Wednesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Knights 61-58.
Williams Field's win came from a few key players Campo Verde will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Autumn Thomas, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Corrine Jones, who posted eight points in addition to ten rebounds and four steals.
Campo Verde's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-6. As for Williams Field, their record is now 21-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Campo Verde has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Williams Field struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
