Football Recap: Elmore County Has No Trouble Against Holtville

Elmore County won the last time they faced Holtville and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 31-7 margin over the Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Panthers have posted against the Bulldogs since October 14, 2016.

Elmore County can attribute much of their success to Gage Davis, who threw for 221 yards and two TDs. Those 221 passing yards gave Davis a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Elmore County and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 27 points in those games. As for Holtville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Elmore County will be playing at home against Beauregard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Holtville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Maplesville at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
