Selinsgrove proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Shikellamy Braves 3-1. The Seals haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Selinsgrove's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Gesumaria, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Jayden Beaver also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Selinsgrove's record now sits at 7-8. As for Shikellamy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Selinsgrove will take on Athens at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Seals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season. As for Shikellamy, they will challenge Lewisburg at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
