Softball Recap: Elkton Takes a Loss

Elkton managed to slip by Yoncalla the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Elks lost 28-5 to the Eagles on Saturday. The loss leaves the Elks still looking for their first win of the season.

Amira Harper was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three RBI. Neacye Gould also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Elkton's record now sits at 0-9. As for Yoncalla, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Elkton will face off against rival Lowell at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Yoncalla is set to square off against their familiar foe Umpqua Valley Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
