It was a good run, but Clarkston unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the West Valley Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-12, 27-25.

Clarkston's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for West Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Clarkston will take on rival Pullman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe North Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
