Basketball Recap: American Heritage Takes a Loss

American Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 48-26 to the Grace Lutheran Royals. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-43 back in December of 2024.

Grace Lutheran's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Flicker, who went 5 of 12 en route to 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Jett Johnson was another key player, putting up 12 points.

American Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Grace Lutheran, they moved to 7-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

American Heritage has already played their next contest, a 50-39 defeat against Taylor's Crossing on the 20th. As for Grace Lutheran, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-30 victory against Clark County on the 23rd.
