Basketball Recap: Falls Lake Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

If NCSSM: Durham wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Falls Lake, they should've done a better job of containing Destiny Williams. The Falls Lake Firebirds were the clear victor by a 59-35 margin over the NCSSM: Durham Unicorns on Thursday thanks in part to Williams, who went 9 of 18 on her way to 18 points along with six boards and six steals. She has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Khloe Massengill, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Falls Lake is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for NCSSM: Durham, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Falls Lake will head out to face off against Wake Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for NCSSM: Durham, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against East Wake Academy at 6:00 p.m. East Wake Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something NCSSM: Durham surely won't give up without a fight.
