There's no place like home for Bloomfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars on Saturday as they made off with an 11-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Dillon Warnick made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Andrew Barker was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Tyler Patterson was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three RBI.

Bloomfield's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.

Coming up, Bloomfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Dugger Union at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge University at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trailblazers have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
