Volleyball Recap: Fraser Falls to Stoney Creek in First Game of Season

Fraser unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stoney Creek Cougars on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Ramblers in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost five in a row.

While Fraser was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20.

Kaitlyn Gustafson was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had nine digs and two aces.

Fraser has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Bloomfield Hills on the 21st. As for Stoney Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Seaholm on the 21st.
