Baseball Recap: Milby Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Milby never let their opponents score on Friday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Austin Mustangs. The victory was nothing new for the Buffaloes as they're now sitting on three straight.

The result came thanks to Armando Briagas's shutout, as he gave up just six hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Milby saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Maldonado, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Milby's win bumped their record up to 13-3-1. As for Austin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

Looking ahead, Milby will face off against Deer Park at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Austin, they will square off against Spring Woods at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Tigers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
