Football Recap: Fulshear Chargers vs. Atascocita Eagles

Fulshear and Atascocita squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Fulshear had to settle for second. They fell to the Atascocita Eagles 47-42. The Chargers gained 137 more yards on the day, but it was the Eagles that made the best use of them.

Despite the loss, Fulshear still got an impressive performance from Patrick Broadway Ii, who rushed for 205 yards while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, and also threw for six yards and a touchdown. Broadway Ii showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 61 yards. Another player making a difference was Ryland Forks, who rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown.

Even though they lost, Fulshear was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 521 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 351 rushing yards in 13 consecutive matchups.

Leading Atascocita to victory were Tory Blaylock and Cardae Mack.
