Softball Recap: Caldera Victorious

While Caldera's victory against Mountain View wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Caldera sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over Mountain View on Tuesday. Caldera hasn't had any issues with Mountain View recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Elle Morton, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Elie Hall, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Caldera's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Mountain View, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caldera will welcome Redmond at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.8 runs per game on average), something Caldera will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mountain View, they will be playing at home against Ridgeview at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
