Baseball Recap: Steeleville Comes Up Short

Steeleville fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against New Athens on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Yellow Jackets by a score of 5-3. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellow Jackets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Steeleville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin Vallett, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That hit marked the first that Vallett got this season.
