New Palestine's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Pendleton Heights Arabians 4-3. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Arabians recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Sadey Hughbanks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kylee Beranek, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted over her last 12 matchups.

New Palestine's victory bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Pendleton Heights, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Palestine will venture away from home to square off against Munster at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Dragons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pendleton Heights, they will head out to face off against Avon at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Arabians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Orioles have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
