Baseball Recap: Pompano Beach Has No Trouble Against Stranahan

Pompano Beach never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 12-0 margin over the Stranahan Mighty Dragons. Considering the Golden Tornadoes have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ethan Williams looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Pompano Beach is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-2 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gianni Carbone, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season. Parker Skeen was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-1.

Pompano Beach always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Pompano Beach is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.8 runs. Stranahan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
