Softball Recap: Johnson Central Golden Eagles vs. Breathitt County Bobcats

Breathitt County typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Johnson Central proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Breathitt County Bobcats by a score of 6-1. Winning may never get old, but Johnson Central sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Raelyn Adkins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Randi Delong, who went 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Mayson Delong, who went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and a double.

On Breathitt County's side, they also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Catlin Pennington gave up five earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up 13 Ks.
