Baseball Recap: St. Joseph's Prep Triumphs

After losing to Germantown Academy the last time they met, St. Joseph's Prep decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. St. Joseph's Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against Germantown Academy on Monday, sneaking past 3-2.

Kieran Lodewick tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, St. Joseph's Prep saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robby Grasso, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

The victory got St. Joseph's Prep back to even at 2-2. As for Germantown Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Coming up, St. Joseph's Prep will welcome Archbishop Ryan at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Germantown Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Friends' Central at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
