Basketball Recap: Colfax Find Success

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Colfax ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They managed a 68-62 win over the Glenwood City Hilltoppers. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 76-44 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Glenwood City's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Olson, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Olson's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brady Thompson, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Colfax is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Glenwood City, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
