Softball Recap: Sweet Springs Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Sweet Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past the Orrick Bearcats 16-1 on Friday. The Greyhounds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Sweet Springs is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Orrick, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Looking ahead, Sweet Springs will be playing in front of their home fans against Santa Fe at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Orrick, they will take on Lone Jack at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
