Softball Recap: Lee County Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Lee County's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Estill County Engineers on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Bobcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Preslee Cundiff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

Lee County's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Estill County, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-8.

Looking ahead, Lee County will venture away from home to face off against Jackson County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Estill County, they will square off against Frederick Douglass at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
