Volleyball Recap: Brynlie Baker Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Cornerstone Christian Academy

Stephenville FAITH's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cornerstone Christian Academy Crusaders. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Stephenville FAITH was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-14, 25-9.

Stephenville FAITH got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brynlie Baker out in front who had six aces. Those six aces gave Baker a new career-high. Abigail Battenfield also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Stephenville FAITH was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. They are a perfect 4-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Stephenville FAITH's record is now 5-3. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Stephenville FAITH is taking a road trip to face off against Bluff Dale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cornerstone Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
