Softball Recap: Solanco Picks Up 21st Consecutive Win

Solanco came tearing into Monday's contest with 20 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Northern Lebanon Vikings a 5-0 shutout.

Not much got past Kira Roark, who gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Northern Lebanon off the board. Roark has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ava Fedoruk was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Jane Grube was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Solanco's win bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Northern Lebanon, with the defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-4.

Solanco didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Lancaster Catholic on the 14th. Northern Lebanon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
