Basketball Recap: Reeves Raiders vs. Plainview Hornets
Even though the Reeves Raiders have not done well against the Plainview Hornets recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Reeves came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 80-70. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Reeves was led to victory by Christian Williams and Carter Guillory. Williams scored 24 points along with five rebounds, while Guillory went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Guillory has scored all season. Cameron Cavenah was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Reeves is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-15 record this season. As for Plainview, their loss dropped their record down to 17-11.
Reeves will head out on the road to face off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plainview, they will be playing at home against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
