Basketball Game Preview: Dietrich Blue Devils vs. Richfield Tigers

The Dietrich Blue Devils and the Richfield Tigers will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dietrich is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Castleford on Friday. Dietrich simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Castleford 51-17. With the Blue Devils ahead 30-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Richfield strolled past Hansen with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 35-20.

Richfield's win came from a few key players Dietrich will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Baylee Henson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (four). Kallee Hendren was another key player, putting up seven points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.

Dietrich picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Richfield, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Dietrich was able to grind out a solid win over Richfield when the teams last played back in February, winning 47-38. Will Dietrich repeat their success, or does Richfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
