Baseball Recap: Capital City Comes Up Short

Capital City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 10-5 to the Owensville Dutchmen. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dutchmen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Capital City's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Owensville, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Capital City will challenge Battle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Owensville, they will host Hermann at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
