Baseball Game Preview: Sitka Wolves vs. Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears

For the second straight game, Sitka will face off against Juneau-Douglas. The Wolves will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Crimson Bears at 4:00 p.m. Sitka will be looking to extend their current 17-game winning streak.

Sitka is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Juneau-Douglas, who was ranked eighth at the time (Sitka was ranked third). The Wolves blew past the Crimson Bears 11-1 on Friday. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Sitka's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-2-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Juneau-Douglas, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
