Basketball Recap: Grand Ledge Comes Up Short

After flying high against Eastern last Monday, Grand Ledge came back down to earth. The Grand Ledge Comets were outmatched by the DeWitt Panthers and fell 62-27. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 374th, while the Panthers are ranked 14th).

Grand Ledge has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season. The victory was the 21st in a row for DeWitt, bringing their record for this year to 22-1.

As of now, neither Grand Ledge nor DeWitt have any future games scheduled.
