Basketball Recap: Wakefield Takes a Loss

Wakefield lost against South County back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wakefield Warriors took a 53-37 bruising from the South County Stallions. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Wakefield has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for South County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Wakefield will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on George C. Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on January 8th. South County also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Fairfax at 7:30 p.m. on January 8th.
