Volleyball Recap: Brownstown/St. Elmo Starts Season with Victory at Home

Brownstown/St. Elmo took care of business in their home opener on Monday. They came out on top against the Okaw Valley Timberwolves by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Brownstown/St. Elmo easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-18.

Macey Sapp was the offensive standout of the match as she had three digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (six).

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brownstown/St. Elmo will welcome Martinsville at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Okaw Valley, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Neoga at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
