Softball Recap: Eagle Point Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Eagle Point couldn't beat Crater on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Eagles fell just short of the Comets by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 on Tuesday.

Eagle Point saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allison Martin, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Kady Ledbetter was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Eagle Point's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8. As for Crater, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Crater beat Eagle Point by a score of 10-0 later that day.
