Volleyball Recap: Admiral Farragut Falls to Delphi Academy in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Admiral Farragut unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Delphi Academy Dragons on Tuesday. The BlueJackets haven't had much luck with the Dragons recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

While Admiral Farragut ultimately came up short, they really made Delphi Academy work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24, 23-25, 25-22.

Naomi McDowell paced Admiral Farragut's offense, picking up 12 kills. McDowell got some help from Leila Bakken and her 19 assists. Finally, McDowell was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Admiral Farragut wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Sarasota Military Academy on the 21st. As for Delphi Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against First Academy on the 22nd.
