Volleyball Recap: The Colony Cougars vs. Memorial Warriors

The Colony was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Memorial Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Memorial was led to victory by Ava Funderburk and Julianna (Jules) Hernandez. Funderburk had seven digs and three aces, while (Jules) Hernandez had six digs and two aces. (Jules) Hernandez is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

The Colony's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Memorial, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
