Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plainfield South). In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 19-18 victory over the Minooka Indians. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by just one point.

The win got Plainfield South back to even at 2-2. As for Minooka, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Plainfield South will challenge rival Oswego at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Minooka is set to square off against their familiar foe Romeoville at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Indians 12.8, the Spartans 15) so any points scored will be well earned.
