Basketball Recap: Baker Comes Up Short

Baker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 40-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mojave Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-32 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Baker lost, don't look at Anthony Ortiz. Despite the final result, he posted 14 points. That was a full 43.8% of Baker's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points. Anthony Ibarra was another key player, putting up seven points and five steals.

Baker now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Mojave, they pushed their record up to 11-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

As of now, neither Baker nor Mojave have any future games scheduled.
