Softball Recap: Vallivue Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Nampa

Vallivue faced Nampa in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Falcons fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-3. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 14-2.

Maris Farner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Addyson Aguila and Bella Magallon did some serious damage despite the final result: Aguila went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI, while Magallon got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Vallivue and nudges their season record down to 18-8. As for Nampa, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Vallivue nor Nampa have any future games scheduled.
