Football Recap: Lincoln Northwest Comes Up Short

Lincoln Northwest played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 44-18 to the Northwest Vikings. The Falcons' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Although Lincoln Northwest took the loss, they still got scores from Karsen Moore and Jaxson Love.

Northwest found their leader in sophomore Blake Wissing, who rushed for 78 yards and three scores, and also threw for 111 yards and one TD. Those three rushing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Wissing.

Lincoln Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Northwest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Lincoln Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwest, they will face off against Waverly on Friday. Northwest will need to watch out since Waverly has now posted at least 31 points in their last six contests.
