Baseball Recap: Wellington School Comes Up Short

Wellington School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fairfield Christian Academy Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-4 back in April.

Wellington School's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Fairfield Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Wellington School and Fairfield Christian Academy will both be playing Fisher Catholic the next time they take the field. The Knights will head out to face the Irish at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Jaguars will head out to face them at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
