Softball Recap: Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy Takes a Loss

Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.35 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the South Terrebonne Gators, falling 15-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since April 19, 2024.

Ashtyn Rogers put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Rogers wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Veronica Bourgeois, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
