Baseball Recap: West Takes a Loss

West started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Kimball. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Armstrong, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Ty Banchero was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

West's loss dropped their record down to 5-17-1. As for Kimball, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-15 record this season.

West will look to defend their home field on Monday against Tracy at 4:00 p.m. As for Kimball, they will venture away from home to face off against Lodi at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Flames have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
