League recap: Central of Clay County extends winning streak with victory over Dadeville

4A Region 3 recap Oct. 30, 2012

Central of Clay County extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region 3 this week by beating Dadeville, 34-0. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.

Dallas County's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Wyatt Sanders threw for 131 yards and Jamarius Barnett had 92 yards receiving. On the ground Demarius Berry chipped in 22 yards. Justin Chandler helped Dallas County's passing attack out by catching one ball for 14 yards.

Kaleb Beck provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Tigers fell to Central of Clay County. He completed 12 passes for 122 yards and also ran for 13 yards. Beck's favorite target this week was Jamal Crayton, who caught four passes for 42 yards.

Dadeville's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Beck has thrown for 1807 yards and 24 touchdowns this season, while Terry Toler has 33 catches for 628 yards. C. J. Tolbert leads the league in rushing with 758 yards.

Dadeville's Beck is within 193 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against Russell County.

The Hornets made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,688 from 12,000. The improvement came about via a 43-28 victory over Dallas County last week.
