Basketball Recap: Covington Catholic Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Archbishop Moeller

Covington Catholic is ranked highly in their home state and on Wednesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Archbishop Moeller. The Covington Catholic Colonels took a 62-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Archbishop Moeller Fighting Crusaders. If the Colonels were looking for revenge after losing 66-44 to them when the teams met back in December of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Covington Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Archbishop Moeller, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, Covington Catholic will square off against Madison Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Archbishop Moeller, they will head out on the road to face off against Sycamore at 7:30 p.m. on February 26th. Archbishop Moeller is facing Sycamore at the right time seeing as Sycamore is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
