Baseball Recap: Thompson Valley Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Thompson Valley had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They won by a run and slipped past Wellington 7-6.

Thompson Valley got a great performance from Malachi Dougherty as he struck out ten batters over 4.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Garet Hendrickson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Amari Richardson was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
