Preview: Blair Bears vs. Elkhorn North
The Blair Bears will head out on the road to face off against Elkhorn North at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Blair has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Blair's and Lincoln Northwest's matchup on Tuesday was close at halftime, but Blair turned on the heat in the second half with 28 points. Blair took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 46-17 victory over Lincoln Northwest. Blair has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Blair found their leader in underclassman Gueryn Kay, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Elkhorn North put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Millard North 66-63. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Elkhorn North has posted yet this season.
Blair now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Elkhorn North, their victory bumped their record up to 13-0.
Blair ended up a good deal behind Elkhorn North when the teams last played back in February of 2022, losing 53-36. Can Blair avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
